Last Friday in Boston, the temperature rose above 50 degrees and the sun was (shockingly) shining. A recent package of mine from Sézane included this beautifully detailed short-sleeved eyelet blouse. Which quickly became a must wear on this infrequent spring day.
Was headed out to the burbs for dinner to meet friends (Winsor House in Duxbury, very charming, this shell sconce was staring at me all night). Could almost feel my nervous system regulating being near the ocean (I proceeded to drink margaritas).
I wanted to style the blouse with a pair of baggy low-rise jeans ($55, crazy) to make the look feel a bit more casual given I decided to button up the shirt completely to show off the scalloped collar. My shoe choice (my new secondhand pony hair cheetah print kitten heels) did not fall totally in line with my idea of casual but I was just (if not, equally) as excited to wear them. Did they match the occasion? Not entirely.
With that being said, I love this blouse. It sent me down a romantic lace (some crochet) rabbit hole on Sunday. Nothing groundbreaking for this time of year but I enjoyed the combination of feminine yet casual — felt easy and put together. Not to mention, a very refreshing change from sweaters and turtlenecks.
Some pieces I loved. Many of which will probably remain on my Moda Operandi wishlist.
PRAYING for many May flowers!
